Family Time
First Steps Fostering offer the facilitation of family time, subject to availability.
First Steps Fostering are proud to facilitate family time between parents and their child/children. Such sessions will be held in conjunction with court direction with a fully trained contact co-ordinator within a safe community-based facility/ within the community.
Risk assessments of family time will be completed jointly between First Steps Fostering and the Local Authority to ensure the child’s safety for the duration of family time taking place.

What the Local Authority can expect:
​Following family time, the Supervisor will provide a detailed report of observations, what is working well and worries identified during family time, utilising the signs of safety model. First Steps Fostering offer family time, subject to availability. Recordings of family time will be provided to the Local Authority within 3 working days. Urgent concerns will be brought to the attention of the Local Authority within 24 hrs. The family will be provided verbal feedback following family time taking place and written notes within 5 days of family time taking place.
