Domestic Abuse Programme
First Steps Fostering offer a domestic abuse programme, subject to availability. First Steps Fostering are proud to deliver a domestic abuse programme to parents on a 1:1 basis whilst accessing a placement. The delivery of this programme will be facilitated by an experienced practitioner offering a bespoke teaching-based programme focussing on the identified areas of need.

First Steps Fostering recognises the pressures on Local Authorities to deliver robust interventions to families to promote the best outcomes through learning. First Steps Fostering are able to deliver such interventions and learning alongside an excellent placement to ensure parents have every opportunity to learn, develop and make better informed decision that promote the wellbeing and safety of their child.
What the Local Authority can expect
During the delivery of the programme, the Local Authority will be issued with a written overview at 3 weeks and final report at 6 weeks to ensure consistent oversight of parent’s engagement, learning undertaken and ability to reflect. First Steps Fostering are able to tailor the delivery of the programme to meet the needs of the family and presenting concerns.
